All interviews with St. Bonaventure student-athletes, coaches and administrative staff must be coordinated through the Athletics Communications Office.
On game days, student-athletes will not be available for interviews until post-game. Press conferences for men's and women's basketball will take place after the NCAA-mandated 10-minute cooling off period. Head coaches and players will be made available to answer questions upon request. For all other sports, coaches and athletes will be made available by request after the cooling off period. Members of the media wishing to speak to a player or coach should notify a member of the Athletics Communications Office prior to the end of the game. All St. Bonaventure locker rooms are closed to the media.
On non-game days, interviews must be coordinated through the Athletics Communications Office at least 24 hours in advance. A student-athlete's phone number and/or email address will not be released unless that student-athlete grants permission. Student-athletes will not be asked to miss class time. The Athletics Communications Office will do its best to provide an interview time that is mutually convenient for both the player/coach and the media representative.
For all St. Bonaventure men's and women's basketball games, credential requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the game. Late requests will be handled according to space limitations. All credentials can either be picked up at the Athletics Communications Office (Reilly Center 108) or can be picked up at the will-call window for men's basketball and will-call table for women's basketball.
St. Bonaventure's official athletics website is filled with up-to-the minute statistics, scores and game stories as well as team rosters, schedules, player and coach profiles and information for all 16 sports. St. Bonaventure University's home page can be located at www.sbu.edu.
All of St. Bonaventure men's and women's basketball home games and available road games are streamed live on GoBonnies.com through the Atlantic 10 All-Access package. The live radio broadcast of every men's and women's basketball game are also available through GoBonnies.com for free of charge.
Paid stream feeds are available for men's and women's soccer as well as baseball and softball through the Atlantic 10 network. Free feeds of men's and women's swimming home events are available through UStream. Please check the schedule pages for each sport for individual links.
Bonnies Basketball On Radio
The St. Bonaventure Basketball Radio Network brings the excitement of Bonnies games to the entire Western New York region and into Pennsylvania and Canada. WPIG (95.7 FM) of Olean is the flagship station of Bona basketball, originating the broadcast of every game live. Gary Nease, the news and sports director at WPIG, serves as the "Voice of the Bonnies" delivering the play-by-play. He is joined by color analyst Don Scholla, the former Athletic Director and girls basketball coach at Olean High School. Coverage begins 15 minutes prior to tip-off with the Mark Schmidt Show and concludes with the post game show, which features an interview with Coach Schmidt. Selected St. Bonaventure baseball games are also broadcast on WHDL (1450 AM) during the spring season.
Bonnies women's basketball games are carried live on the air (and online) by Classic Hits, 105.9, WGWE-FM. Chris Russell is the lead play-by-play voice for the women's squad on the Bonnies Radio Network, and is also the host of the Coach Jesse Fleming radio show - which runs intermittently throughout the women's season. Russell leads the women's coverage with a pregame show 15 minutes prior to tip-off which includes interviews with Bonas assistant coaches, and a post game show featuring Coach Fleming; Russell will also be the lead play-by-play voice when Bonnies Men's Lacrosse debuts their first varsity season in the spring of 2019.
