Thanks to the exhaustive efforts from head softball coach Mike
Threehouse during his 12-year reign as the Bona skipper, the St.
Bonaventure softball diamond has been transformed into one of the
top facilities in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Located in the western portion of McGraw-Jennings Field, the softball field underwent extensive renovations in the summer of 2002. The infield now includes Diamond Tech soil, while the outfield playing surface consists of fresh sod extending into a dirt warning track and retractable fence.
The softball complex also includes a state-of-the-art watering and draining system.
Previous additions to the facility included a spacious press box that houses the public address announcer and game operations personnel as well as a clear sound system. McGraw-Jennings Field is also equipped with bleacher seating down the left field line as well as a pair of dugouts, bullpens and batting cages.
