Compliance

St. Bonaventure Athletics is devoted and bound to the principles of “institutional control” in operating its athletics program in a manner consistent with the letter and the spirit of the NCAA, Atlantic 10 Conference, and University rules and regulations. With the cooperation of administrators, coaches, faculty, student-athletes and representatives of the university's athletic interests (boosters), we can achieve this goal.

Timely, regular, and accurate education is an important component of assuming the principle of institutional control. The intent of this website is to serve as an initial resources center concerning compliance-related issues for our constituents. Please keep in mind that this site is NOT all in-compassing, and your questions can be more thoroughly answered by contacting the SBU Athletics Compliance Office.

St. Bonaventure Athletics is proud to have the faithful support and sustained interest in our athletic programs. As we strive for excellence, it is important to remember that improper or unintentional actions on your part can jeopardize the eligibility of our enrolled and/or prospective student-athletes as well as our compliance with the aforementioned governing bodies.

Please explore the various compliance-education links that are available to administrators, coaches, faculty, student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, alumni, fans and representatives of the university's athletic interests (boosters).

Please feel to contact me at (716) 375-2249 if you have any specific questions. Go Bonnies!
