Morgan Stefanik currently serves as the athletic trainer for the St. Bonaventure Softball and Swimming and Diving programs. She joined the Bonnies sports medicine staff in August of 2017, after earning of her Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Daemen College (Amherst, N.Y.) in May of 2017.
While completing her graduate work, Stefanik gained impressive collegiate experiences her with clinical rotations at the University at Buffalo, Daemen College, and Buffalo State College. She also spent time at Niagara Falls High School and WNY HealthWorks as a physician extender. Her degree work focused on conducting research and developing her thesis regarding the female athlete triad and associated musculoskeletal injuries among Division II female athletes.
Stefanik is originally from Corning, N.Y. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Daemen College in Health Care Studies with a specialization in health and fitness and a double minor in entrepreneurship and biology. She is a former student-athlete herself, as a track and field athlete during her freshman and sophomore years at Daemen and throughout high school with the Corning-Painted Post Hawks.
Morgan is currently licensed in the State of New York and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA), and the New York State Athletic Trainers’ Association (NYSATA). She is a CPR/AED/First Aid certified through the American Red Cross.
