BAF Announces 15 By 16 Goal; New Name, Logo, Website Unveiled
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – In conjunction with the St.
Bonaventure University Athletics Strategic Plan, the Bonaventure
Athletic Fund (BAF) has announced an ambitious new goal of 1,500
members by 2016 – 15 By 16.
In addition, the BAF has been renamed the Bonnies Athletic Fund and a new BAF logo and website, BonniesBAF.com, were introduced.
The BAF is St. Bonaventure’s annual fund raising drive for the Bonnies’ 14 Division I sports teams. Members’ investment in St. Bonaventure through the Bonnies Athletic Fund helps student-athletes compete for championships.
“We have set the goal of 1,500 BAF members to help St. Bonaventure teams excel in the Atlantic 10 Conference,” said Athletics Director Steve Watson. “We encourage everyone to put their Bonnies pride into action and become one of the 1,500 – then inspire their friends, family and colleagues to do the same. We are determined to reach this goal and I feel confident that the Bonnies’ faithful will rise to the challenge.”
In the 2012-13 fiscal year, a record 1,020 members contributed to the BAF. The 15 By 16 campaign aims to build on that momentum and grow BAF membership to record levels each of the next three years.
To aid in the rallying call, fans are asked to use the hashtag #15By16 on Twitter, and also by interacting through the BAF’s official Twitter handle: @BonniesBAF.
The new Bonnies Athletic Fund name, which replaces the prior Bonaventure Athletic Fund, places a strategic focus on athletics by encompassing the school’s nickname. This is also depicted in the new logo which utilizes the primary athletics logo.
For the first time in its history, the BAF now has its own online home at BonniesBAF.com. A sleek, cutting-edge design aligns with the BAF’s 15 By 16 goal, its brand and initiatives. The site gives visitors an overview of the importance of the BAF to St. Bonaventure’s present and future success.
BonniesBAF.com also includes information about the Circle of Champions, a new membership club launched in conjunction with the re-brand. The website includes event dates, contact information, detailed mission and vision statements and answers to the most frequently asked questions. A mobile version of the website is also available.
Current and prospective BAF members, including those who hold Priority Seats for men’s basketball, will also receive a newly-designed BAF brochure in the coming weeks. The brochure outlines the impact that contributions from BAF members make on student-athletes.
