"There were many incredible accomplishments this year, but the one that I am most proud of is the academic performance of our student-athletes," St. Bonaventure Director of Athletics Tim Kenney said. "When you see those numbers and recognize the workload our student-athletes have to balance, you can't help but feel pride and amazement at their accomplishments."

In total, 160 of St. Bonaventure's 253 student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher while 115 of those student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better. In the spring semester, 129 student-athletes were on Dean's List.

"This achievement is a tribute to the joint efforts of our coaches, administrators and recruiting personnel," said University President Sr. Margaret Carney, O.S.F. "Bringing students who love their sport but also want to be prepared for a future through academic success is so very important to us — and to all of our Atlantic 10 Conference leaders. I am delighted with this news."

In April, six St. Bonaventure athletic programs earned recognition by ranking in the top 10 percent nationally of their respective sports in the NCAA Academic Progress Report (APR) – women's basketball, men's cross country, golf, women's soccer, women's tennis and softball all earned perfect 1000 APR scores.
